北京时间11月3日，根据媒体人“我爱女篮”报道，在WCBA两冠王内蒙古女篮退出后，中国女篮主力国手张茹新赛季将加盟山西女篮。
内蒙古女篮一度连续4个赛季晋级WCBA总决赛，并在2021年与2022年实现两连冠，之后在2023年与2024年均是输给四川女篮获得亚军，上赛季则是止步季后赛四强。
内蒙古女篮今夏连续未参加全运会与全锦赛，她们无力维持球队运营，从而退出新赛季的WCBA联赛。根据此前报道，浙江女篮已经被通知递补到A组参赛。
