北京时间3月19日，2025/26赛季欧冠联赛1/8决赛已经全部落下帷幕，本赛季的欧冠联赛也正式进入到了更为残酷的淘汰赛后半程。在TNT体育节目中，利物浦传奇杰拉德针对接下来的欧冠走势，进行了分析与预测，另一位红军名宿史蒂夫-麦克马纳曼则重点点评了卫冕冠军巴黎圣日耳曼的竞技状态。
欧冠1/8决赛全部战罢，在1/4决赛中，皇马将先主后客对阵拜仁慕尼黑，利物浦将先客后主对阵卫冕冠军巴黎圣日耳曼。在TNT体育节目中，杰拉德和麦克马纳曼重点分析了这两组比赛。
杰拉德表示：“到了这个阶段，豪门、大牌球员和强队都会开始展现出自己真正的实力，如果你的状态不佳，就可能出现那种一边倒的比分。”
针对本赛季欧冠夺冠热门，杰拉德给出了明确看法，他比较看好皇家马德里：“我认为皇马如果拿出最佳状态就能夺冠，他们能晋级下一轮，毕竟他们在欧冠中的表现总能提升一个档次，就像在对阵曼城时那样火力全开。” 在刚刚结束的欧冠1/8决赛中，皇马总比分5-1横扫曼城，进军1/4决赛。
除了皇马，杰拉德还点出了另外一支球队，他认为拜仁慕尼黑会成为本赛季欧冠的“黑马”：“但拜仁今年可能是‘黑马’。他们现在全员健康，哈里-凯恩状态火热，孔帕尼把球队调教得也很好，纪律严明、组织有序，我觉得他们本赛季的阵容比过去四五年都更有竞争力。”
4月9日，欧冠1/4决赛，利物浦将与巴黎圣日耳曼展开一场焦点战，红军名宿麦克马纳曼表示，尽管巴黎圣日耳曼在1/8决赛中大胜切尔西，但卫冕冠军目前还没有拿出自己最佳的状态。
“他们去年夺冠了，但需要踢得比之前更好，比如那场比赛（上赛季欧冠1/8决赛首回合）他们其实很吃力，哈维-埃利奥特最后时刻绝杀，但利物浦那边，你还记得吗，门将（阿利松）的表现太出色了，那可能是近年来你见过的门将最佳表现之一。”
